If you're putting up a fence or pergola and need to install posts on a hard surface, try using bolt down post shoes. You don't need to nail or screw the post into the shoe. All you need to do is simply slip the post in, then tighten the nuts until it's a snug fit. Four bolt holes securely attach the base of the shoe to the ground.
It's made of mild steel which has been hot-dip galvanised for a protective, corrosion-resistant coating. This means it's strong and will last a long time, including in coastal environments where it otherwise might suffer a lot of weathering.
